gehrke law background

The Challenge

Gehrke Law was starting from zero: a new firm, a new brand and no website, entering a crowded local market.

No Digital Presence For A Brand-New Practice

With the firm newly established, there was no website, no search presence and nothing a prospective client could find to judge whether the practice was legitimate. For a law firm, that absence reads as a risk at exactly the moment a client needs reassurance.

Clients Arriving Under Pressure

People searching for a criminal defense attorney, or facing a divorce or custody dispute, are rarely browsing calmly. They want to know quickly whether a lawyer handles their situation and how to reach them. Any friction in that first visit is a reason to call someone else.

Credibility Without A Track Record Of Its Own

A new practice has no firm history to point to. The site needed to establish professionalism and trust immediately, communicating what Gehrke does and how he works without overpromising.

A Brand Identity That Didn’t Exist Yet

Aaron Gehrke arrived with an AI-generated logo concept that captured the direction he wanted but wasn’t ready to carry a professional practice. There was no color palette, typography or visual system to build from.

Standing Out In A Crowded Market

Sioux Falls has no shortage of family law and criminal defense firms. A solo practice needed a clear reason to be chosen, stated plainly enough that a stressed visitor would grasp it in seconds.

The Solution

Our strategy started with how prospective legal clients search and decide, then built everything around getting them from first visit to first conversation with as little friction as possible.
  • Information Architecture Built For Urgency

We kept the navigation deliberately simple — About, Practice Areas, Testimonials, Contact — and put the practice areas directly on the homepage, so a visitor confirms within seconds whether the firm handles their case.
  • Five Practice Areas, Each With Its Own Page

We structured the firm’s services into five practice areas — Family Law, Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Workers’ Compensation and Wills — each with a dedicated page and a short, plain-language summary of the matters it covers.
  • A Contact Path On Every Page

We placed a click-to-call phone number and a Request Consultation button in the header of every page, with the consultation route connecting directly to the firm’s intake system. A visitor never has to hunt for the next step.
  • From AI Concept To A Polished Identity

Our branding team took Gehrke’s AI-generated logo concept and evolved it into a refined mark, a color palette and a visual system that carry through the whole site — professional without feeling cold, matched to a practice that sells approachability as much as expertise.
  • Positioning Around Direct Access

We built the messaging on the firm’s real differentiator: clients work directly with Aaron Gehrke rather than a rotating team, with fast responses and honest, plain-language assessments of their options. The homepage states it in the first line a visitor reads.
  • Mobile-Responsive From The Start

Many first searches for a lawyer happen on a phone, often in the moment. The site was designed and built responsive throughout, with the contact path as easy to reach on mobile as on desktop.

Spar & Bernstein: Competing For “Immigration Lawyer”

Ranking for “immigration lawyer” and “refugee lawyer” means fighting for some of the most contested searches in legal marketing — and Spar & Bernstein, the New York firm behind LawSB, was barely visible for either.

We built a custom SEO program around exhaustive keyword analysis, content written to answer the questions people in immigration and personal injury matters actually ask, and technical improvements to performance and user experience.

Organic traffic grew 14x, Domain Ranking tripled, and the firm earned top 10 search positions for key legal keywords.

Frantz Law Group’s Authority-Led Redesign

Visitors were leaving Frantz Law Group’s website after an average of 32 seconds — a weak showing for a nationally recognized firm handling wildfire litigation, mass torts, personal injury and public entity work.

The rebuild carried a hard constraint: the site already ranked for valuable wildfire litigation terms. Our team used a content audit and redirect strategy to carry that SEO equity through the migration, while giving each audience its own conversion path and fixing Spanish-language pages Google hadn’t been indexing.

After relaunch, average engagement time per session rose 28.73%, engagement time per active user climbed 19.96% and engagement rate improved 8.07%.

Vacca Family Law Group: Recovering From A Vendor Misfire

Vacca Family Law Group came to us after a previous vendor’s build underdelivered, leaving a boutique firm for high-net-worth clients with a site that undersold the discretion and credibility its practice depends on.

Andrea Vacca’s collaborative divorce work became the organizing idea. We rebuilt navigation so visitors could self-identify quickly, sharpened every call to action, and delivered a modular WordPress build ready for downloadable guidance and future content.

Since launch, active users are up 105.1%, engaged sessions up 75.91% and views per session up 12.9%.

Repario Data’s Eight-Week Holiday Launch

Repario Data’s launch window fell over the holiday break, with a fixed budget, several teams to coordinate and a site that needed to generate leads while holding up in front of potential investors.

Our team ran the project on an agile methodology, adapting as requirements shifted, streamlining design-to-development handoffs and rebalancing budget toward the places quality mattered most.

The site went live in eight weeks with seven unique landing page designs built to support Repario’s future marketing.
