Startups We’ve Helped Launch & Grow

We help early-stage and scaling companies launch brands and websites that win their first customers. Explore our work with founders across industries.

Surely Dirty – From A Founder’s Idea To A Shelf-Ready Canned Cocktail Brand

Founder Sierra Harris came to Digital Silk with a name and a concept: the Dirty Shirley in a ready-to-drink can.

We evaluated the category, then built the strategy, trademarked logo, palette, typography and brand book around a retro look that stands out on a shelf of lookalike cans.

The website launched with product storytelling, serving facts, a direct route to buy and a community list to capture early demand.

R&W Co. – A Mobile Storefront For A Brand Born On TikTok

R&W Co. built a strong following on TikTok, but its WooCommerce store wasn’t designed for shoppers arriving on their phones, ready to buy.

We rebuilt the experience on Shopify with clearer navigation, easier product discovery and storytelling around each scent.

Fulfilled orders rose close to 60%, and conversion rates have stayed above 5%.

Sorellis – Naming, Identity And A Landing Page For A New Data Center Advisory

Decillion, a female-led data center advisory firm, was entering the data center land market with no name recognition, logo or messaging.

We renamed it Sorellis and delivered the logo, a full brand book and a messaging system built for a high-trust, high-stakes market.

A landing page and a practical brand handoff gave the team what it needed to look credible from its first conversation.

Ziwi – A CRO-Led Redesign For A Premium Mattress Startup

Ziwi, a sleep technology startup founded by leaders in sleep innovation, had repositioned its brand, but its website still told the old story.

Brand strategy refinement and a CRO analysis came first, followed by a redesign that aligned messaging, UX and visuals with the new positioning.

Comparing Dec 2025–Feb 2026 to the previous period, new users grew 477% and returning users 433%.

Boston Materials – From Venture-Funded Startup To Commercial Innovator

Boston Materials had grown from a venture-funded startup into a commercial supplier of advanced composites, but its website didn’t reflect that change.

We clarified how its Z-axis Fiber™ technology works for engineers, executives and investors, and rebuilt the site for SEO and lead generation.

In the 10 months after launch, active users rose 41.14% and organic traffic 31.16%.

Juise Mobility – Messaging Built For Campuses, Fleets And Communities

Juise Mobility builds connected charging, docking and locking hardware for e-bikes and e-scooters, with an IoT platform underneath that its old site never mentioned.

We mapped the competitive messaging, found the gap no rival had claimed and moved Juise from safety messaging to infrastructure.

Campuses, fleet operators and communities now each land on their own case, with calls to action that lead to a conversation.

Gehrke Law – Launch-Day Identity For A Sioux Falls Attorney’s Own Firm

Aaron Gehrke left to start his own firm in Sioux Falls, covering family law and criminal defense, and needed to look credible from day one.

Our branding team evolved his AI-generated logo concept into a polished identity, color palette and visual system.

The site launched with five practice areas on the homepage and click-to-call on every page, built for clients who arrive stressed and short on time.

Working with Digital Silk on our brand has been an incredible experience. They truly understood our vision and helped bring it to life in a way that felt authentic to who we are. I couldn’t be more excited about the future. We can’t wait for people to experience the brand we’ve built together.

What We Build For Startups

From the first brand decisions to the integrations you’ll need at scale, we build the parts of a website that help a young company look established and start selling sooner.

Brand &
Site Launch

Many startups arrive with a name, or not even that.

Our branding team handles positioning, naming, logo and brand book, then our web team builds the site on that foundation, so the identity and the website are designed together instead of patched later.

Our Process For Startup Web Design

Startups need speed without shortcuts. Here’s how we get you live quickly and keep building once real users arrive.

Discovery &
Positioning

We learn the business before the brief.

What Sets Us Apart?

Speed Without
Templates

Fast doesn’t have to mean generic.

A five-page site on our proven framework can launch in a few weeks, with a custom design and modules we’ve already tested across many builds.
metrics first

We partnered with Digital Silk for a comprehensive website redesign and to kickstart our paid advertising campaigns. The collaboration was seamless, with Digital Silk not only listening to our needs but also bringing innovative ideas and solutions that exceeded our expectations.

FAQs About Our Startup Web Design

What makes startup web design different from other website projects?

A startup site has to do more with less: explain a new product, earn trust without a long track record and turn visitors into sign-ups or leads before the brand is known. We prioritize clear messaging, early proof and one strong next step over a large page count, and plan the structure so it can expand later.

How quickly can a startup website launch?

A focused site of around five pages, built on our proven framework, can go live in a few weeks. A fully custom build usually takes 3 to 6 months. About 35-40% of any schedule depends on your side, so fast decisions on content and approvals are the quickest route to an earlier launch. You get a dated plan at kickoff.

Should we launch with a small site and expand it later?

Usually, yes. Most startups get more from a lean site that’s live and collecting data than from a large one still in progress. We launch with the core pages and leave room in the structure for case studies, careers, new products or markets, then add them as you learn what visitors respond to.

Do you use templates to launch faster?

No. Every design is built for your company and your buyers. We save time by reusing tested modules from our own library and by augmenting our development teams with AI, which means you get a custom site without starting every component from zero.

We don’t have much research or data yet. Can we still start?

Yes. The essentials are your goals, how you plan to sell and serve customers, your biggest challenges and the story behind the company so far. Anything else, such as analytics, early customer feedback or a list of competitors, helps, but it isn’t required. Our strategists know their sectors and fill the gaps with their own research.

Can you create our brand identity as part of the project?

Yes. Our branding team covers positioning, naming, logo, color, typography and a brand book, and our web team designs the site on that same foundation. Doing both together keeps the identity and the website consistent and saves a second round of rework later.

What happens if our product or positioning changes mid-project?

It’s common for startups, and we plan for it. Your project starts with a budget broken down by role and task, and your project manager tracks hours against it every week. If a change falls outside the agreed scope, you see the extra hours in writing before any work starts and decide whether to approve it, swap it for something already planned or move it to a later phase.

Which technology do you build startup websites on?

WordPress for most marketing sites, because it scales from a few pages to hundreds and your team can manage it without a developer. For online stores, we use Shopify Plus, Adobe Commerce or WooCommerce, and for custom applications or headless builds, React, Next.js, Laravel and Node. We choose the stack around your product and plans, not our preference.

Will our website handle a launch, press mention or campaign spike?

If we host your site, yes. We run premium servers in the United States and Europe with a dedicated DevOps team, CDN and firewall protection, and uptime monitoring. Before a planned launch or big announcement, we load-test the infrastructure against your expected traffic and scale resources in advance.

Who owns the website, code and designs?

You do. Once the project is paid in full, the custom code, designs, brand assets and content created for you transfer to your company, together with repositories, credentials and production access. Third-party plugins keep their own licenses, and our internal modules remain ours, with a full license for you to keep using them. You can take the site to another team at any time.

How will a small team manage the website after launch?

We prepare a handover document written for your site and record one-to-one training with the people who will run it, so a marketer or founder can update pages, products and posts without a developer. If we host the site, a warranty period after launch covers bugs, and our retainer is there when you need extra hands.

How do you measure whether the new website is working?

We record a baseline before launch and track the same metrics afterward, such as sign-ups, demo requests, purchases, conversion rate and organic traffic. At the start, we agree with you on what one extra sign-up or qualified lead per week is worth, so success is defined in business terms.

Do you work with every early-stage company?

No. If your budget or timeline can’t realistically produce a result that helps the business grow, we’d rather say so upfront and suggest another route than sign a contract that disappoints both sides. We also don’t take on businesses built on misleading their customers.
